If you want to see some hilarious stuff, thieves getting nailed with glitter-fart spray bombs is great.


Personally, I think lethal/harmful/horribly disfiguring/crippling booby traps on/in your property (i.e., in your house or car) should be 100% legal.

All it would take is one or two jackwagons getting wrecked; car break-ins, burglaries, home invasions, and package theft would plummet. Plus, I wouldn't have to get out of bed to sweep my house and confront intruders in the middle of the night.

The older I get, the more I dislike people (company in this forum excluded). I'm 41...... the next 20 years are going to be rough, assuming I live that long.

Stats show that in general with response times, whatever is going to happen is going to happen before the cops even get there anyway. That used to primarily be true in rural areas, but not so much anymore. People are truly kidding themselves if they don't have their own plan, and assume the cops are going to swoop in and save them in the nick of time.

And using all my willpower to bite my tongue and not elaborate on all the additional reasons why...

The riots in Georgia are the perfect example. Tons of 911 calls and law enforcement had to say, "sorry, we can't get passed the rioters to get to you"

Everyone should have their own plan. During the LA riots, the Korean shop owners that stood on top of their businesses with AKs and ARs didn't get looted and burned down.....just saying

We live in what they refer to as a law enforcement “dead zone”. The closest sheriff or police is 35 minutes away, but it’s in the wrong county. The closest one with jurisdiction is over an hour away. There is a chance that highway patrol may be near but you never know. The sheriff says to take care of your own and help your neighbors. When they do come to handle some business out here there is usually a helicopter involved.
 
In Warren v. District of Columbia the Supreme Court found that it is a
"fundamental principle of American law that a government and its agents are under no general duty to provide public services, such as police protection, to any individual citizen."

Better be able to protect yourself then.
