Random Thought Thread

I have pretty good hygiene

I take a shower everyday

I wash and dry my feet everyday

I never wear the same pair of shoes twice in one week

If my socks get wet I change them

I'm always battling foot funk between my pinky toes

I got rid of it with lamisil and I spray my toes with apple cider vinegar after my shower

After it went away I stopped using lamisil but I continue to spray my toes with apple cider vinegar after my shower.


Been doing this a loooong time. No sign of any problems in a loooong time.


I finally thought to myself. What if I've been spraying my feet with apple cider vinegar after my shower everyday for no reason. I bet I could stop doing that and I would be fine

Came back immediately

Congrats on 30 years!

It may not be athlete's foot. Also, some fungi can live in your toe nails and then spread when conditions are right. That might be what's happening when you stop using the vinegar.

Try diluting oregano oil (used to kill ringworm) and putting it on your toenails and under them. Then, after a week, try losing the apple cider vinegar.

Remember to dilute the oregano oil though. It will burn like a mother if you don't.

Other consideration for anything related to fungal infections, is that if you clear it from your feet, but there's contamination in your footwear, you haven't actually gotten rid of it.

You can wash your socks with bleach, but your shoes etc. may be contaminated.
