"Beaver Spey" is a strange name for a knife.

I was clearing old logging roads for a property owner. There were a lot of trees down across the roads. The owner said that they were going to walk the road and see what condition it was in. They came back after only a few minutes and said they had woken a baby bear, around 40 pounds, that was sleeping in the sun on the road but didn’t see its mom. So I kept working and shortly after came upon one of its marking trees. I finished the job today and luckily never ran into any bears. But I definitely removed my hearing protection whenever I wasn’t running my saw. This was at about eye level so it wasn’t the biggest bear, but big enough, plus it was with cub.
