People seem to forget how they got their skills and knowledge from mentors. Encouragement and acknowledging a job well done goes a long was when it is deserved. Congrats to both of you.

That's pretty crazy. Another option is cougar (puma, not bored house wife) piss. Keeps them and other critters away.

I also hear vinegar works but you have to apply it regularly

I don’t know about cougar pee helping here since it isn’t a predator here. Fishers, lynx, coyotes, wolves, wolverines, and great horned owls are all on my property and are known predators of the porcupine- I wish them good hunting! I have sprayed bleach on gravel areas where they come by with no deterrent! They even chewed on some pressure treated wood that had really toxic stinky fresh treatment applied.
Thousands of acres of wild forest around, but they insist on finding wire, fuel jugs, plywood, etc. Very interesting critters. The stories I have heard from folks out by my cabin about damage done do hydraulic lines on dozers and excavators, and brake lines on motor homes is eye opening.
 
My 1st glass of wine in 2 months following the successful end of my alcohol free diet.

It's the cheap stuff but I missed it & it tastes "good enough" to me. 🤗

that's funny. I just broke my ice cream fast.

it wasn't the best ice cream but it was good enough.

you going back on the diet any time soon or what's your plan?

I'm back on the wagon tomorrow.

Sorry to hear about their home, but I'm glad everyone is safe. Thoughts and prayers are with them.
