Here's a gift link to a very detailed & inciteful eulogy to Willie Mays published in the NY Times today:

Willie Mays, Electrifying Ballplayer of Power and Graces, Dies at 93.

My dad has tried two different treatments for his cancer and they're not working. I was hoping to find someone who might be able to give me advice on future options.
I have known many people who have dealt with one variety of cancer or another with varying levels of success. By all accounts, MD Anderson in Houston is the best place to seek treatment. For those who do not know, Houston has several "downtowns", one of which is the Medical Center which is effectively larger than the downtown area of most other US cities, comprised of hospitals of various sizes and specialties. MD Anderson has a particularly large footprint there.

I am sorry to hear about your father and hope that he finds effective treatment as soon as possible. Cancer sucks, fuck cancer.

I spent some time in the operating room at MD Anderson, as a medical student at Baylor College of medicine back in the late 80s, and they were impressively innovative even back then in the dark ages.

^Liking the griddle? Been eyeing.
30 seconds to clean while it’s still hot after cooking has me thinking that I’m never using the BBQ again. I hate taking the BBQ apart to clean it, if I wanted to detail something my truck would be cleaner.
We’ve made everything from breakfast to stir fry on the griddle and it has all turned out great.
I’d suggest that anyone shopping for one get the 36 inch and not the smaller unit, unless maybe there’s only 2 of you to cook for. You need room to move stuff around when making the stir fried meals. I also like that the 36 can cook 1.5 pounds of bacon, a bag of hash browns, a dozen pancakes, and 4 eggs all at once- breakfast gets done quick.

There are 49 million kangaroos in Australia and 3.5 million people in Uruguay. which means that if the kangaroos decided to invade Uruguay , each person would have to fight 14 kangaroos…stay prepared.
Kangaroos are also just deer who have been to prison, so I hope the Uruguayans have been lifting heavy.
