They cost about the same & I don't NEED either but which do you think I should buy?

Didn't see a poll option but the choices are:

1) A Spyderco Szabofly to complete my Spyderco bali collection:

2) A Radpower RadExpand 5 Folding Electric Bike:

Not to influence your choice but I'm leaning towards #2. ;)
Number 2, then in a month you can convince yourself that you rode the bike enough that you saved enough money on gas for it to be a zero cost purchase. Then you can buy the Bali.

Thanks for your comments. Thought about buying 1 before & I'm going to go shopping for 1 of these this weekend:

Going to stop thinking about buying the "scissors" for now. LOL! ;)
I've drooled over the Ebikes for years. I thought that they'd be a fun and useful ninja tool for when I'm out hunting that would give this beaten up body a break. Unfortunately we sold the land down in WV and I only walk about 100 yards to my spot from the truck over flat farm land here in Mi. That doesn't leave me a very good reason these days to get one. I also need the exercise of turning the cranks while I still can. Still, I daydream whenever I see one of these cruising around. I guess that's a side effect of growing up in the 80's which was the best generation of BMX bikes to have ever been produced👍👍 Okay, I'll admit that the quality may be better now with the bikes being made from carbon fiber and other wonderful materials that are far lighter than the old chrome moly that we had. Ours were still cooler because we put 1,000 miles a summer on them. The bikes the kids ride these days barely get the hairs worn off of the tires before they're sold on marketplace. No near death experiences, no jumps, no ramps, no tracks, no half pipes. no 15 mile rides one way to go to the beach to chase girls and be rowdy, and definitely no rides to neighboring cities. these kids barely ride to their friends house.
Now I want an electric bike again. I'm going to need your phone number so that I can have my wife complain to you about it while I'm out cruising around on it pretending that I didn't hear her while I rode away.😁🤪

I'm greatful for the ability to still go 100% pedal power, but it's great that there are all these options on the market now, for folks who can't. If it helps more people get outside, and engage in some level of physical activity, I'm all for it.

As for me, I don't regret getting this, at all (it's what I was riding last week)

P.S.
Had no idea what they cost, now. 😮
IIRC, I paid $17xx for mine, a few years back.

P.P.S.
Between this and the Adventure Elements AE1007-E inflatable tandem kayak, I find it amusing to pull those out of a compact car, and watch people's expressions (especially hilarious to carry the 15' kayak back to the parking lot, with folks going, "Wait... they came in THAT? Where's the roof rack?", and watch me deflate and fold it, and toss it in the trunk 😅).

That is a cool bike! Usually they're pretty obvious but I had no idea that it was a folder until he put it into the car. Considering that I paid $1,200 for a GT mountain bike 30 years ago I think that $1,700 is a pretty good deal.

Yeah, even then, I got a great deal on it, but I'm pretty sure the MSRP was less than the $2950 I'm seeing now.

Decided I wanted that specific bike, and looked for local(ish) retailers. Found one about 50 miles away, and called them to see if they had any available (this was towards the tail end of the season, around September, and I think part of the reason for the great deal, was end-of-season inventory clearance).

Owner said, "Yup. We have 2 of those at the shop". I said, "I'm about 50 miles away. What time do you close?". He said, "Well, I'm actually headed to #### this evening. If you want, we can meet at Exit ##. It'll save you about 30 miles each way, and if you bring cash, we can do $17xx".

DONE!

It rides like a quality hardtail, which is why I specifically picked this one. Most of the folding bikes available, tend to compromise performance, for the folding/compactness. Granted, I'm not taking 4+ foot drops on it.

The Mercedes considers the driver to be the dipstick. A bit of German engineering humor, I suppose. ☺️
Thought it was BMW drivers.

Funny story;
Back in college, a Japanese transfer student buddy taught us that the Japanese have all sorts of weird sounds/sound effects for various weird things. Apparently, the Japanese sound for ejaculation, sounds like "Doh-pew", and it's often used offensively with the jack-off gesture.

Hmmm...

From then on, our group referred to the brand (and drivers) as BM Doh-pew 🤣🤣🤣

Just had a disturbing thought; if the driver is the dipstick, I've heard the term 'oilcheck' referring to...
