I've got to locate the nest. I know the general area but I don't have enough stuff to just spray without targeting. I'll look for them coming in later.
Neat trick that I tried on a ground nest, the last time I had one in the lawn:

I took a HotShot No-Pest strip, and went out at night when they're less active, and placed the No-Pest strip over the entrance, and an inverted disposable Tupperware/ Glad container over it, to concentrate the fumes down the entrance (and placed a brick on it, to hold it down).

It gassed the whole nest in 24 hours. Tossed everything in the trash. No residue, no fuss, no muss.

A cup of gasoline does the job too. You don't light it. But the fumes will kill the whole hive

Easy option, for sure. Wasn’t so sure what it would do in the middle of the lawn, though.

P.S.

A similar out-of-the-box solution for moles or ground squirrels, was to take an exhaust hose kit and hook it up to the vehicle’s exhaust, stick it in the entrance and gas the tunnels with CO. Small mammals have a much faster respiratory rate, and are compromised more quickly from CO poisoning.

Just in case, any scurried out of other exits/entrances, I also mounted a thermal on a full auto airsoft and scanned the rest of the yard for heat signatures 😅

I take a more personal approach so the little fuckers can see who hastened their demise. I'm pretty good at it. (I've had a good bit of practice.)

(This is in our adjoining woods...and we don't have a lawn...we have yards.)

My land neighbor was operating a large excavator while I was felling trees and stirred up a swarm. I was swinging my chainsaw at them and s bunch went after him. He jumped out of the excavator and ran like a mad man. Funny now, but damn I hate getting stung!

Wife and dog just stung multiple times by Yellow Jackets. They are not happy campers.

Delta dust....it works great and kills spiders, ants, wasps....anything that runs through the dust. I used it on a yellow jacket nest the other day and it wiped them out. I also use it for any of the large black widows I find around my garage or the yard.

You used to be required to have a pesticide license to buy it, but now you can get it on amazon. My dogs have never messed with it and as long as you're not stupid and make sure the wind isn't going to blow it in your face, it's a pretty safe option.

This makes so much sense after meeting everyone at CPK .......

So you're saying Nathan and crew are pretty much immune to anything after being around so much delta dust lol

Thanks for your comments. Thought about buying 1 before & I'm going to go shopping for 1 of these this weekend:

Going to stop thinking about buying the "scissors" for now. LOL! ;)
I love my Trek eBike (Powerfly 5+) but I can't fold it up to throw in my car like your choice above ^

Yeah, even then, I got a great deal on it, but I'm pretty sure the MSRP was less than the $2950 I'm seeing now.

Decided I wanted that specific bike, and looked for local(ish) retailers. Found one about 50 miles away, and called them to see if they had any available (this was towards the tail end of the season, around September, and I think part of the reason for the great deal, was end-of-season inventory clearance).

Owner said, "Yup. We have 2 of those at the shop". I said, "I'm about 50 miles away. What time do you close?". He said, "Well, I'm actually headed to #### this evening. If you want, we can meet at Exit ##. It'll save you about 30 miles each way, and if you bring cash, we can do $17xx".

DONE!

It rides like a quality hardtail, which is why I specifically picked this one. Most of the folding bikes available, tend to compromise performance, for the folding/compactness. Granted, I'm not taking 4+ foot drops on it.
Only 4 foot drops I’m taking now is when I fall off of the bike.
If I remember correctly, you’re in Mi. If so, was the shop in the Macomb/Oakland area?

Funny, we just had one in our yard on Tue early morning, size of a small cat. The Rottie smelled it from far, looked for it and found it, by then it was playing dead. So he lifted it kind of gently, dropped it again, didn't know what to do with it - was really puzzled. Once the dogs were back inside, the Possum walked away.

Our boxer had the opportunity to pin two. Once when e let her out at my parents house before bed and another time on a morning walk. They didn’t do a very good job playing dead. Hissing and snapping. She didn’t know what to do until I was able to pull her off and kick the darn things away.

I used to work at an Ace Hardware in college and we had one that lived in the ceiling of our warehouse and ate spilled feed at night. Closing it down was a scary thing because it was aggressive… wouldn’t back down.

Something about these SE Tennessee opossums. No give up in them, I guess.
