My Mom was a Red Hat Lady. One of there meetings was, houses of prostitution in Bradford, Pa.
Bradford (Little Chicago) was an oil & timber boom town. Al Capone was present, Elliott Ness was a local , and all that implies.
There were 13 or 15 houses (memory?) My Dad, as a kid, had a job on what he called a beer truck, delivering to many houses. He explained, they ran from lowlife to grand. Some of which still stand as historic homes. Family..that is.
They never taught interesting stuff like that in history.

If you use a rope in the cylinder to stop a piston from moving while working on an engine, make sure it doesn’t go to far and get jammed in the exhaust port. Your engine will be seized and a simple repair will be exponentially more complicated and expensive. Just a little tidbit of advice that I wish I learned from advice and not from experience.

Today, I’m digging a ditch.
Meanwhile, my wife and one of her friends are up in the woods on there bikes.
A couple of months, ago her friend went off her meds, and walked around the hood naked with her 12ga. bending windshield wipers.
Good news, she’s OK now and back at work as a hospice counselor.

She'd just be in it for the boilermakers.

Traditionally, a boilermaker is defined as a shot of liquor, usually whiskey, served alongside or sometimes in a beer. It remains a very popular drink, thanks in part to the infinite pairing possibilities between whiskey and beer styles.

When I was a teenager the Mitsubishi 3000 Gt came out and a girl I knew got one. We were all home from college for the weekend and I had gotten a ride with my roommate. It was an hour and a half drive back to school. She had been drinking but was ready to go back to school so I offered to drive her 3000 GT with her and her roommate in it. Halfway there we stopped for gas. They had some beers in the back seat floor. I guess a cop saw them when he walked by the parked car. He waited around the corner for me to start the car and then blocked me in. He breathalyzed me and I blew zero. He breathalyzed the two girls and confirmed that they had been drinking. He arrested the two girls for minor in possession and then arrested me too saying I was responsible for any in the car I was driving. He loaded the two girls in his car and instructed me to follow him to jail in the 3000GT. So I had to drive myself in her car, park it and go in and turn myself in to be jailed. So much for all the times the forced having a designated driver down our throats. We bailed out shortly after for $100 and it wasn’t too big of a deal. It was a pretty sweet car for the time.
