It is recommended to fill the oil filter before you put it on because it's pretty large and that engine would go a significant amount of time with no oil pressure until it is filled.

If it were me, I might not use synthetic oil for the first oil change because the engine is still breaking in. I would move to synthetic on the next. Or I would at least look into it first.
That’s what I always did with the Cummins, and did the same here. I always pre fill the filter anyways. I’m not sure what was ran in it before but I use Rotella T6.

Nathan, let me tell you what. These new PowerStrokes are ridiculously easy to work on. It is almost comical how easy it was to change both fuel filters. I had everything done and cleaned up in less then 2 hours. And I was taking my time.

Fumotos are awesome! I have them on both my Toyota 4Runner and my Subaru.

On both vehicles the oil filter is right on top of the engine and as easy to access as the dipstick. With the Fomoto valve/drain hose snapped on and the on top vertical oil filter makes for quick, easy, clean oil changes.

This is something you don't see everyday. I hope they eventually put the crack pipe down.

Shit, I’d rather work on that instead of having to work on all of those Jeeps day after day at your C.B. shop.
I mean, this thing is kinda goofy, but it takes one hell of mechanic to make it all work and honestly I hope he keeps hitting the pipe because without people like him, we’d all be driving boring box or egg shaped monstrosities down the road.
Oh wait…😂

I actually prefer the Valvomax design, for easy oil drain valves.

Those and Speedbleeder valves for brakes are definitely gamechangers. (Still sore about adminstrative morons changing the laws so ATE no longer made SuperBlue brake fluid. It's the same formulation as their Typ200 high performance brake fluid, but they banned using blue coloring in brake fluid 🙄. It made brake fluid flushes so easy with the Speedbleeder valves, simply by alternating flushes between the standard yellow Typ200 and the dark blue SuperBlue, since they were essentially the same stuff, with different coloring. Just bleed until the new color showed in the bleed hose. Great track performance with high temperature thresholds).

He said "no honestly of all the shops I go to none of them match what you are able to do with your quality and volume"

Nice, the Valvomax does look like a pretty good design.

Very cool to hear, nice job! Hopefully you’re bartering for a BIG pay increase now 😜

I completely agree, Nate. I grew up with, and worked alongside some awesome Iranian folks some years back...both in NYC and Miami.

Years ago, on a job shortly after college, I handled air freight accounts to and from. The Iranians I encountered both stateside, and from overseas, were very well educated, tech savvy and very professional. Of course, that's only a small sampling.

(My attempt at humor above had no political attachment, it's just that they happen to be the Boogeymen of the week.)

Moving right along...
