Random Thought Thread

Maybe I’m just impatient but I hate slow talkers .. every interaction takes forever and you can like see them processing thoughts in real time .

I’m so excited for my first CPK preorder next week. Please let there be one for the LC as well
Huh?…..
Ummmmm…..
Well….
Uh…..
Yeah…..
Oh, what was that?….
I can’t remember what that was named…..
Hold on a second, let me think about it for a second…….

Mornin' all...

We got power and wireless restored last night. Can start getting caught up around here and at home over the coming days.

Thanks for all the good thoughts you guys took the time to send along. Brightened our days for sure.
Good to hear, E. How bad is it in your area ? Is there a need for necessities that can only be bought by cash ? I’m not very trusting of organized charities or government spending….
but would be honored to send cash that way. Please advise.

Best regards,

Michael

We're good, Michael, thanks. I'm sure there are many in need but I'm not in a position to determine whom and how much.

For the most part, our subdivision had downed poles and wires, downed trees, at least one home completely destroyed, and a few damaged to greater or lesser degree.

I think it's going to be services and goods more than money which will be the issue for most. It's going to take forever to clean up trees, debris, water damage etc.

I've been trying to help neighbors here and there...and cutting up and removing some debris on the road.

I've got to change my whole house water filter later as it looks like it got full of sediment during the storm. It was really clean looking before it hit.

Appreciate the thoughts, and I'm as skeptical as you are about charities. I'm not happy to say that, and I hope I'm wrong about many or most.

Wow...just changed the whole house water filter. In 20 years in this home I've never seen that amount of sludge in the bottom and sides of the filter canister.

All good now with the new filter after a generous amount of water and bleach de-funked the canister. Be interesting to see how long it takes to dirty up again. Usually it's months before it really starts to show any noticeable change.
