Random Thought Thread

On a weirdly related tangent to ass grabber, I once taught someone archery, using that as an acronym to remember the key points for consistency

Anchor point (always draw to the same anchor point)
Sight picture
Grip (keep it loose so you don’t torque the bow)
Aim
Breathe
Release

ASGrABR

She asked, “Did you learn that from someone, or did you come up with that? Uh huh… I thought so…” 😅

I said, “Does it make it easy to remember all the key points? Well, there ya go” 😁

Reminds me of an episode of Seinfeld when Kramer received this license plate that was supposed to go to a proctologist (I believe) 🤣

That’s the coolest shovel ever!
Another reason why I want to be in Idaho.
Sleds used to be huge here, untill everybody gated and posted their lumber & oil lease roads.
Oh yeah, you need snow too. N. PA is going from hardwood to palm trees.

Must be my lucky day. Got a new pair of Tony Lama cowboy boots for $105. First they were 25% off then get to the register and they gave me an additional 20% off because the box was beat up. I was like sure hell yeah im throwing the box away when I get home anyways hahahaha
If only Ford would follow their example...

(Duckin' and runnin'...)

I really like "Wyoming speed goat". If you shoot one as it first stands up in the morning after bedding down in a stubble corn field, get it dressed and on ice right away, and otherwise treat the meat right, it tastes a lot like beef.

If you jump it out of the sage, chase it 4 or 5 miles, get a bad hit on it, chase it another couple miles, shoot it a couple more times and finally kill it, drag it for a mile then gut it badly, strap it to the roof of a 61 Dodge and drive to Arkansas with it in the sun... Well, it'll taste like some folk's venison. Or maybe peccary.

Nothing against Arkansas, mind you.

Boy that was extremely specific lol 🤣.

Wyoming Antelope is delicious. We’ve only eaten ones that were shot in the Sage brush. Been there twice and hopefully a 3rd maybe next year.

Got any pics of the ones you’ve shot?
Here are the only 2 pics I could find quickly, I will have to try and search for the others. Hope I still have the pics but these are from 2010, our first trip. Here is my Buck and my 2nd doe from up there.

Me and a buddy went and drove up from AZ. We each took 1 buck and 2 does. So 3 Antelope each. That was a lot of delicious meat!

Beautiful buck and nice job with the traditional archery.
If WY had a trad muzzleloader season for deer and elk I’d be all over it.

Nothing to say you can’t still use them, but I hear ya. I took my other doe with an open sights, Hawkin .50 cal patched (pillow ticking) Round ball shooting FF Goex real black powder. Was a really fun hunt!

Beautiful animals. North of Salt Lake, it’s either Speed Goat or Pronghorn, BTW. :)
