Even from this side of the world I’ve heard of them as Stink Pigs!

When I cash in my points for WY I’m keen to try antelope.
I really like "Wyoming speed goat". If you shoot one as it first stands up in the morning after bedding down in a stubble corn field, get it dressed and on ice right away, and otherwise treat the meat right, it tastes a lot like beef.

If you jump it out of the sage, chase it 4 or 5 miles, get a bad hit on it, chase it another couple miles, shoot it a couple more times and finally kill it, drag it for a mile then gut it badly, strap it to the roof of a 61 Dodge and drive to Arkansas with it in the sun... Well, it'll taste like some folk's venison. Or maybe peccary.

Nothing against Arkansas, mind you.

I’ll be doing it diy so I can’t imagine I’ll be shooting any in a corn field, I’ll keep the latter part in mind though 😂

Cúy is Quechua for "guinea pig," a staple of the Peruvian diet. They're delicious, especially roasted whole.

As for beef:

Beef, pork, lamb, venison, elk, horse, ... I'm pretty flexible. The most exotic I once had was Eland.

Salt just before you grill, otherwise the salt extracts the juices.

That is all :)

I have (hopefully temporarily) apparently misplaced all of my good pocket knives. So I'm carrying a folder that I will not name made in M390 that I sharpened yesterday. Or maybe it was the day before yesterday?

Anyways I just sharpened it and I just had it out and I can see the edge already. I can't remember doing anything particularly bad to this knife since I sharpened it

People think that it has good edge retention. What it has is good wear resistance. People equate the two, kind of like toughness versus durability. People equate one easily measured facet of an attribute, with a desired quality, when there's more to it than that.

The cobbler goes barefoot!
Get yourself a DEK3. I was scraping and prying hardened epoxy off pins yesterday. Edge is still perfect.

Nathan,

I have reached out to my contacts at the highest levels of government to propose a cabinet level role for you in the next administration to once and for all get this matter under control. (I also suggested that you had a creek available for the dead weight contained therein, so it's win-win for everyone.)

If you make a folder. I will carry it.

Mornin' all...

We got power and wireless restored last night. Can start getting caught up around here and at home over the coming days.

Thanks for all the good thoughts you guys took the time to send along. Brightened our days for sure.

So glad to hear you guys are safe. Sorry to hear about your woods, could have been much worse. I’m sure you’ve got a lot of work ahead of you,

Glad you were prepared, and definitely getting that generator installed and set up (last year?) was a smart move. Stay safe out there.
