I spend a lot of time around trees, and I've noticed they're pretty susceptible to quick swings in the climate. It's pretty clear at this point that this is a problem that's getting worse and I'm baffled by the fact that so many people buy into the idea it's all a 'hoax' despite what is happening around and to them. We're told not to believe our lyin eyes, can't see the forest for the trees.
Droughts followed by intense rain creates saturated, dead standing wood which has no structural integrity. The wood ends up on the ground, has no time to rot before another drought occurs and voila, forest fires. 'Cleaning up' the forests is not a solution.
While the cycle itself is natural, the intensity and regularity of it is not. The motto for the industrial age is 'smoke em while you got em'.
