The last thing I worry about is the value of my knives on the open market. If someone contacts me about a particular piece and makes an offer I think is reasonable, (and I'm willing to sell), the matter solves itself.

I don't remember the last time I posted something up for sale in the Exchange directly. I'm thinking it was some custom knives a few years back, but I may be wrong.

Speaking of which...

It's interesting that "Bier" is German for "Beer".

Yet "Bier" is English for :
A bier is a stand on which a corpse, coffin, or casket containing a corpse is placed to lie in state or to be carried to the grave.

All of which begs the question of whether we have to learn do a better job of holding our liquor.

Only practice will tell, I suppose.

Well the "bier" in English would carry or support a coffin, but is not the coffin itself.

I've enjoyed several Danish shows over the past few years. American shows could learn a lot from their European brethren. (IMHO)

American shows just need to stop trying to bleed every drop until the show becomes a husk of its former self. They have some great ones that go too long.

That’s where Brit’s get it right. End on a high and people will forever praise it.

And as long as Hatchet_Jack is awake at this hour, we've enjoyed several from Oz as well. The most recent of which coming to mind was probably "Mr. Inbetween". Loved that show.

Regarding your post above, HJ, that's known as "jumping the shark". And I completely agree.

With three kids 6 and under and another knocking on the door I’m always awake!!

I haven’t watched it yet, keep meaning to.

If you haven’t seen it, the first season of Underbelly was great. I think in part because I remember seeing it all on the news as it happened. The series did it a good justice.

Agreed.

From memory there was one other season which was ok, but they really bled the whole concept dry.

Mystery road series 1 and 2 was good as well.
Watched some of Mystery Road...and it lost me after one season or so. I forget exactly when. And the movie, if I remember correctly was not very good either. Which was unfortunate, I thought it had a shot.

I've seen several other productions from Australia that were good over the years.

We watch and enjoy a lot more stuff from overseas by and large...though, with significant exceptions.

I hate coming to the end of a really good series.
