It’s a serious problem. I’ve had a few instances of frostbite, as well as frostnip. The damage is permanent, and I have to be incredibly careful when I’m out in the cold. This, of course, is made worse because I LOVE the cold. Crave it. In general, if I can keep moving, and I’m dressed appropriately, it’s not an issue, but… if my hands get cold, or my toes, it can be only moments before they become worthless. Hands especially. The pain feels like someone driving wire brads into my fingertips, and they become completely useless. Something as trivial as straightening out a thrown chain on a bike could be impossible.

Maybe that’s part of the draw, for me. Even a trivial ride on my bike, close to home, when the conditions are rough could have major consequences. Like having toes that need to be removed, or fingers.

…even posting about this makes me want to ride. 🤣🤣🤣

wtf is wrong with me
When it’s in the 80s-90s I have to have a sweatshirt and winter cap on if I go somewhere and the AC is on.
Someone will ask if I’m cold, I’ll look at them and say no 🤣 when the realization comes they start laughing.

As a kid, would stay out in the cold till I couldn’t feel my hands and feet, now I’m paying for it 😞

Finally had time to purple flake this guitar!!!

It's a long process

Primer
Sand primer
Pre clean and tack
Black sealer
Black base coat
Make a mid coat so I can spray the large purple flake (had to use my primer gun because the size of the flake is so big)
7 coats of flake
3 coats of clear (the clear will help me level the finish before more coats of clear)

*edit... probably looking at 7+ more coats of clear to level the surface out before wet sanding*

Tomorrow scuff
3 more coats of clear
Wet sand and buff

My barber, for years, was a fighter named Tommy Darcy Cardamone. Lots online about him. I’d link it, but can’t.
He was an amateur turned pro lightweight (135#)
Very popular. His shop was a literal museum of boxing.
One of those shops, everybody hung out in. We were always welcome as kids. The atmosphere was priceless.
Ya gotta learn to swear and talk women somewhere. We loved those guys.

Just wait till it's done

It'll be smooth as glass and super shiney!!
WOW!!! 😍 🔥 That would also look really sweet in a good blue!

This was cold. Mt. Washington in the White Mountains of NH on Washington's birthday weekend a long time ago. Way below zero, very high winds, terrible sleeping conditions...and three hikers / climbers lost their lives on the mountain that weekend. We, my buddies and I, were fortunate.
(This was an annual rite for us for a while.)

I'm no longer signing up for such outings.

Significant weather events across the globe are impacting the UPS network. Although your location may not be impacted by adverse weather, the movement of packages in the network may be impacted by weather conditions in other areas.

CONUS? Maybe. Pretty sure someone showed their CPK teleporting out of country (no way the timestamps made sense, otherwise) 🤣
