Hey can we at least appreciate that Mike Tyson was a f*cking beast. I mean did you see the pipes on that guy. I know he wasn't starting from nothing, but that he got into that condition in less than a year is phenomenal.
It was all about his legs, which clearly aren't right. I saw in his walk to the ring things that are familiar from a PT clinic. You can't fire a cannon from a canoe. Roy Jones Jr. noticed right away and commented on it several times. Months ago I saw that he could flurry the pads, but a 25m sprint looked terrible. He's even been spotted using a cane. Without your legs boxing is a non-starter.
Looked to me like Paul carried it quite a bit.

You can't cheat time. No matter the conditioning, and level of muscularity, once you reach a certain age, you gas out much more quickly than in earlier years. This is why I felt he needed to land early with a decisive blow or it was going to be a serious war of attrition.

On the bright side, my dog bit my wife's ear last night and I spent an hour or so trying to get it to stop bleeding from a couple of small lacerations.
(She wouldn't let me remove him from the home...in any capacity I was considering.)

It was probably a combination of things leading up to it, she leaned across him to check his rear to see if he had a "fishy" smell like when his anal glands are full. I wasn't in the room, but she said he growled, and she thought he was playing with her the way he does with me, but I have a feeling she may have leaned and put weight somewhere sensitive, guessing there, and he reacted the second time.

I was in another room and heard the scream and had a giant WTF? moment as I ran for the room. Ears, like scalps, bleed a lot. She had a nice knot on the noggin too.

It could have been real bad...but fortunately they are small cuts that just bled a lot. I'll remove the one bandage I applied to the two cuts on the inside part of the pinna tonight. Doesn't seem like it's weeping this morning. The other cut is behind the ear in the crease...and the bump all the way on the back of the head, but only an abrasion, (no cut), there.

Of all the things I never expected to happen last night, that was the furthest from my mind.
Another case where Quikclot/Celox can help. They have smaller pre-impregnated pads that are ideal for smaller cuts/scrapes.

Keep an eye on her. We get more susceptible to bumps on the head, as we get older.

Gonna take her to the Urgent Care this afternoon, scheduled online. This way they can use Dermabond if they think it needs it. (Still weeping a little.)
Also in case they want her to take antibiotic due to the bite.

I can't see them trying to stitch it, so if anything, I think "glue" would be the best alternative, unless they want to use steri-strip kind of thing.

Anyway, gets me out of the phone call to my ex-partner on the job for his birthday today. So I got that going for me.

Glad I didn’t try to watch the fight (not to mention I’ve read that Netflix was overwhelmed, like the servers on previous CPK sales 😂).

The after fight reports read about how I expected. Jake was cautious, since Mike still has decent power. Mike gassed out within a couple rounds. Jake could’ve hurt him, but took it easy. Still undefeated: Father Time 😔
