My cousin Vinny is the best one
For what it's worth, we watched parts of My Cousin Vinny in evidence class in law school. It provides pretty good examples of how to thoroughly gather, analyze, explain, and test evidence during trial.

Also, make sure your kids understand to NOT SPEAK TO THE POLICE WITHOUT REPRESENTATION OF COUNSEL if they are ever brought in for questioning. They cannot get in trouble for simply stating their name, address, and home/parent's phone number and otherwise staying silent. Even seemingly innocuous statements can end up working against them.

Well, I'll see you all in a while. Gotta go back for a follow-up for Tina's dog bite at the Urgent Care. (Stitches probably later in the week or next week.)
I hope it goes well for you all. Hopefully the incident doesn’t change the family dynamic too much. I had a similar situation where my bullmastiff bit my wife. She was medicating a hot spot and he was not cooperating, so she literally backed him into a corner. He bit her and it was a very minor injury that didn’t require any kind of medical attention but it definitely changed the dynamics. He was my dog before she and I were together and he was a full grown 130 dog when she met him.

Thanks, brother. My wife adores Kobe. She would sooner leave me than let him go.

We're just back from the Urgent Care. All is looking good, don't need to wrap it up now or even apply bandages unless it starts draining again.

Sutures should be out on Thursday or Saturday. Of course, it'll be Saturday so I have to pay for another visit to the facility. LOL.

Anyway, I'm relieved...so there's that.

Oh, by the way, let me just give a shout out to a few standout medical professionals who took time out of their lives to give me advice and a bit of hand holding when they found out about what had happened during the recent injury to my wife's ear and scalp...

In no particular order...well, alphabetical, so no one feels the least bit slighted...

Thank you, brothers.

Thinking about the Sobotkas...I just remembered an incident that occurred at the Port of Miami years ago. (There was often a bit of tension between the longshoremen and the Customs Inspectors and agents who were running cases and searches of vehicles and warehouses.)

One day a couple of Customs Officers who drove marked vehicles came out of a warehouse to return to their vehicle only to find it suspended in the air from a large derrick or crane.

Oddly enough, that didn't do much to ease tensions on either side...though it was funny in retrospect. Not sure whether things have gotten any better in that respect in the years since I last worked down in South FL.
