This place is the only social media worth hanging on to and even then, I still budget my time. Regular social media is like discovering that all your nice, unassuming neighbors are actually pretty awful people. They discovered a playground where they don't have to fear that they've invited you to let your dog squat in their yards.

Frankly, I think folks are much healthier without the distractions.

Agreed!

Last Friday, I was taking a friend to his medical appointments. I arrive in town early and was charging up my car. (yes, I drive an electric vehicle) This particular charging station was busy at lunch time. I see a guy offering a lady money to go ahead of her in line. I just kind of chuckled to myself. Then he walks up to me and offers me $100 to disconnect and let him charge. He said he was running late and needed to get to court. I figured he was an attorney. I took the c-note and pulled away. Came back after the appointment and finished. No line this time. I had a smile on my face all the way home.

…a fine, fine day indeed. We rented side-by-sides w/ our youngest and his lady love. Spent most of the day touring Mazatlan in convoy fashion. Beautiful sights, cliff diving, shopping, a jewelry store, and great food were all enjoyed.

Off to Puerto Vallarta next !

Sounds like you found a new part time gig on Fridays that pays $100.

I got rid of Facebook a decade ago, had Instagram for a while but offed that about a year ago. If I didn’t enjoy the folks so much here I’d be completely done with social media.

I need to set a better example for my kids I hate them seeing me on a phone. The day will come when this probably gets left behind too.
