I lost interest in NFL/AFL years ago durning the strike. The last game I followed was the 85 bears, listened to them while driving home in 100%fog, great game, and they dominated, went on to win the Super Bowl too.

Many times I would meet and interact with Walter (didn’t know who he was then), he even ended up training where I would work out, an old strip mine from building the highway, up and down we would run the hills of stones and sand.

It was cool, and at the time I didn’t even knew who he was, just another person who worked out as hard as me.

He was totally cool, used to drive an old station wagon with the license plate NFL34. Later changed it to a Porsche. That’s when I suddenly knew who he was. Total respect for how he acted and how he interacted with me!

I like college football now, it’s faster, and they seem to play for the love of it.

Reminds me of playing in Catholic Conference HS, it was fun, and we loved it. I played both ways, 100% all of the time, that’s the way I grew up,I just didn’t know any other way.

Good times and lots of memories. Later I even delivered to his new house, such a super personable guy he was ❤️👍

^ this. But last nights game you could tell both teams were giving their all. But yes in general Pro games suck anymore. Plus just hate championships, Super Bowl that are blow outs when other team just gives up and draws their checks…

How often you do that? Been in house 4 years now so probably time for me as well.
The last time I did it was 2006. (I do pull the filter annually and flush it to prevent issues...like backing up of effluent into the basement tub or commode.)

I think the filter needs cleaning now and since I don't feel like unkinking the hose and doing it tomorrow, I decided to just have it pumped and start "fresh", so to speak. (Even with filter cleaning, you still have all the buildup of scum and solids over the years to overcome.)

They recommend every three to five years as a rule...depending on size of family and water usage.

I've always heard that pouring a gallon of milk in the system occasionally is better and safer that Rid-X. It apparently helps the good bacteria grow in the tank.
The system, (septic), is designed to not need any additives or chemicals. I've corresponded in the past with some environmental professors at universities regarding this...(since they don't make money off of recommending additives).

They said that if you only put what is supposed to go into the tank ... all the Rid-X and other additives are not only unnecessary, but often harmful as they can adversely affect the bio system's equilibrium in the tank. We add nothing.
