I'm getting pretty bald, so I tried implants

so far the ladies seem pretty impressed!

Tina had her cast removed this afternoon...got x-rays and it seems the titanium plate and the four screws are doing their job holding the bones in place.

She has been provided with a removable brace to be used for the next few weeks before she sees another doctor who will evaluate her progress.

I intend to start her on bicep curls, chins, rows and bench presses tomorrow.

Okay, just kidding.

Big relief that she'll be able to start on the journey back to normality now. I have some gear that will be very helpful getting her hand and finger mobility back. (Fortunately there were no external sutures needing removal.)

The mountain tried to get me today. It’s a lot steeper than it looks. I tried to push it out with a skid steer. Then I tried to pull it out with my other truck. Then I had to bite the bullet and call in the off road tow truck. They yarded it out without too much trouble and no damage to the truck or trailer. Ultimately it was my own user error and got too close to the edge and the saturated ground sucked me in. I’ve done it without incident a million times but today for whatever reason I picked a bad line. View attachment 2808482
I had that happen while on vacation in Kentucky on some mountain trail way back in the woods. I had a 15-20 foot drop on the drivers side that ended up in a creek, at least enough to roll the truck. The ground fell away under the back tire, things puckered up so tightly that it forced air out of my mouth! As I let out the OhSiii, I mashed the pedal, and thankfully the truck stopped sliding and crawled up hole. I had done it in a truck and in an ATV a thousand times before but that one incident has made me much more cautious.

I mentioned it a month or two ago, about getting some Baoding balls (hey… Amazon finally delivered mine).

They’re actually a pretty good exercise for hand/finger mobility/dexterity, although for rehab, the standard hollow (lightweight) ones are better. It’s the movement that helps.

The solid stainless steel 2” bearings I bought start being a workout, even for me, after 5+ minutes.

My hair grows straight UP. It is so thick and course that it doesn’t lay flat (or any other way). Kinda like Marge Simpson…but not blue.
Same. Now that it’s fully gray I look like a human Q-tip if I wait too long between cuts. My hair is so white that when I’m done shaving my head you can’t even see it against the white sink🙄
I’d say getting old sucks but my hair started graying when I was 16 and it’s been shining like Gandolf returned from the pit for a decade. If I didn’t tint the windows on my truck the reflection off of my head from the Sun would cause someone to wreck.
At $25 a cut, before the tip, I can only imagine how much money I have saved in the last 25 years of cutting it myself. More than enough to pay for a couple CPK’s
