I was talking about him more in light of some unfair criticisms that I've seen recently

A large rocket blew up and rained a big shower of space debris over the ocean and it's just a bunch of people criticizing them for pollution and a bunch of other stuff

But he is, almost single-handedly, dragging humanity forward in a lot of ways. Or at least he's trying to.

There's a lot of hatred for electric cars now but I think they make a lot of sense for tons of applications. He's single-handedly drug the world forward at least a decade in electric vehicle technology.

The return on an investment on solar power makes a lot of sense now too, and he at least tried to help move that industry forward

And his work on AI and trying to keep it safe

He's at least making an effort to make humanity a multi-planet species. While it's unlikely to work, there's a window of opportunity here and it makes sense to try and he's really the only one with any hope of moving humanity forward in that area

People claim that he's in government to better himself because he wants money and power. And make no mistake, he is definitely accumulating a lot of both. But his goals require it. He's not in it for the money. He seems, to me, to have a laser-like focus on attempting to move humanity forward on a number of fronts where it probably wasn't going to happen without him.

I cannot speak to what you are referring to because I don't have the full perspective and your point of view. And I know he's probably causing a lot of unnecessary harm in a lot of places because of his "move fast and break things" mentality. He's clearly not perfect, but he is so vilified right now and I honestly think he is probably a good thing, despite some of his mistakes and flaws. He just seems so universally hated now and I just don't see him like that.

Put air freshener or dryer sheet under the hood and change them every few months. It will keep the rodents away
