I must be doing something wrong...when I try to use the handle as a weapon my hand gets all cut up.The DEK came about when someone carrying an EDC suffered a serious dog attack and ended up using his EDC as a weapon of self defense.
It raised the issue of "the best knife for self defense is the one you have on you"
It is the handle on a knife that makes it a weapon.
So the DEK was born. It's an EDC specifically designed to function well as a weapon.
And it doesn't look scary mall-ninja to the sheep.
Does that make you a bloody fool? (Asking for a friend.I must be doing something wrong...when I try to use the handle as a weapon my hand gets all cut up.

Welcome to the club. That, and some other things!
We saw one that had (presumedly) a custom paint job that made it look like a graffitied dumpster. Some owners have a sense of humor. My wife and son always call the Cybertrucks dumpsters when we see one. I guess there not far offView attachment 2825133
That is a long time! When you peel them off, just be careful when close to the incision site even though this far out it really should not matter. If any concerns, lift the area by the site very slightly and cut with small scissors like from a SAK, then pull from the outer edges. Usually I just pull from both outer edges while applying slight pressure to the site to prevent dehiscence.Question for the medical folks, while I await a reply to my text to the surgeon.
Wife's wrist / arm surgery was on the 25th of February. She had no external stitches, only internal, but the steri-strips are still hanging on after 24 days.
Edges are peeling up some, but still stuck on, probably on coagulated blood from the procedure.
Do I leave them in place or prepare a mixture of 50/50 peroxide and water to break down the adhesive? She'd like to be rid of them, but they are not causing pain. Just the bit of tightness on the skin.
Thanks fellas. I can share a pic to medical folks via DM, but won't post here. It's not nasty or anything, just privacy related.
My mom passed away from a stroke on Thursday (it was a blessing and not a shock) so I was in Wyoming.
I went to this grungy truck stop off I-80 because it's cheap and good. I couldn't stop thinking about the discussion we had here about restroom door knobs/handles and how someone pointed out how gross restaurant menus are......
The signs above the urinals in the men's room didn't help. Make sure you zoom in on the sign, too.![]()
