Opinions and practices vary. It also really depends on the wounds, condition of the wound/healing, and locations.I was scolded by a Nurse Practitioner for using hydrogen peroxide on my wounds. Her comment was "sometimes the old ways are not the best ways". I guess it is contraindicated for wound cleansing these days. Saline solution only was recommended, but I switched to wound cleanser with lidocaine.
What about rubbing some dirt in and walking it off?Opinions and practices vary. It also really depends on the wounds, condition of the wound/healing, and locations.
Letting dogs lick them clean is generally frowned upon though.
Still waiting on mine, but not crazy about how they did the clip/swedge...
Yep, exactly my thoughts too. Think my little Busse experiment may be over. FBS with dull teeth, TGULB with wrong finish, and now this. Oh wellThe swedge kind of ruins it for me. I was very excited for this model.
The lines look all messed up with the way they did it.
I was fiddling with it in the dark in front of my desktop (thats what she said) and the shadow almost covered up the swedge.![]()
I was gonna respond that it looks more like a B**** issue than anything else.Nathan: That's a "that's what you get for buying a Bowie" issue!

Somehow, they know when it’s not close to ThanksgivingI had close to 30 of these guys traipsing through my back yard a bit ago. The hounds did not like it one bit.

I was gonna respond that it looks more like a B**** issue than anything else.Never understood the typical celebration over the tooling marks left on their knives
Watch that spot where you snipped the suture off. I had that with a knee surgery and it left a spot to get a staph infection started.Done.
I made a solution of 50/50 peroxide and water, dripped it on with paper towel under the edges and used the paper towel (folded) to gently lift around the edges toward the center, and then kept my thumb over the wound line to remove without pulling on the sides. Looks pretty good.
Washed, put a thin layer of Vaseline after drying, put fresh sterile bandage and loosely wrapped with vet wrap for support.
Think we're good. Wife's a friggin' trooper. (Had to snip off one small piece of suture sticking up at the base of the hand past the end of the wound channel.)
Thanks, B. I appreciate your backing up my plan.
I had no idea that was a Busse or I wouldn't have commented. He helped pave the road that a lot of us now walk on. I'll go edit my post.
The trick is carrying knives that look like a fun party with handle colors like mint chip and sprinkled donut.Have you met the sheep? They've made comments about my Spyderco Dragonfly.![]()
Nathan, you are a class act.I had no idea that was a Busse or I wouldn't have commented. He helped pave the road that a lot of us now walk on. I'll go edit my post.
