I have 2 magnets at the cabin. 1 next to it, and another about 50 yards away. I still get pestered- just not nearly as bad. The snow melt causes lots of standing water for a while in areas close to the cabin.

In town we have one magnet in the back yard and it controls skeeters enough that my neighbor thanked me for having it.

The magnets are pretty great. The off- grid models cost a bit more, but have worked well. I clean them thoroughly at end of the season and have gotten replacement hoses (porcupines) that have braided stainless covering.

Yeah, I mix up sugar and yeast and put out four containers once a month. It attracts and kills a ton of things but we still cannot step outside without attracting them.

Just looking for another option to take out more of them.
 
I ever tell the story about when I was way younger.... and me and my friend walked into a strip club each with a hundred 1 dollar bills..... and the only way the girls could get the money was to answer state capital questions??????


That might have been the hardest I've laughed in my life lolz
