Random thought…

Hey Blues Blues I am sure there is a reason but why no “liking, loving, sad, etc” emojis for classifieds?

Who am I, Dr. Phil? Live, Love, Laugh... ☺️

(The reason why emojis were removed was because members were getting their feelings hurt by trolls that followed them around to try to ridicule either them or their sales for whatever reasons they may have conjured up. I believe they were left in place for the knife makers sale areas etc. It's hard enough to herd the cats when they post, but we couldn't clean up the emojis without making "warning" threats where applicable.)

It’s a strange thing… I have such a fascination with fixed blade knives and I have far more than I could ever use. Folders, on the other hand, I only think of in practical terms. I only have a few, they all get used regularly, I treat them like I would a lawnmower, and I don’t really have a desire to get more unless I lose or destroy one. It’s probably a good thing, I spend way too much on fixed blades alone 😂

I am not quite that extreme in trying to abuse my folders, but I am admittedly more utilitarian and practical rather than emotional in my limited folder collection. I do love my Cadet-X though.

Folders for the most part don’t hold the same allure to me as fixed blades do. To each their own in this fascinating hobby.

ETA: Even though my personal desire to own lots of nice folders is very low, I strongly appreciate all the informative post and videos that WValtakis WValtakis makes to explain all the unique mechanism details and history of the rare wonders in his collection. Thanks Chip! You are a rare gem of knowledge on this forum. 👏
