Random Thought Thread

Foul colorful language becomes gritty annoying background noise with frequent use. If someone who is known to 'never swear' rips off a string anatomical scattalogical physiologically improbable fight starting words, it can make folks sit up and pay attention. Or so my wife tells me. She gets downright ditchy about it sometimes.
 
Yesterday the owner of a paint & body shop invited me in to look at some vehicles. It was amazing to see. A gorgeous 1969 Chevelle with 815HP and looked black until light hit it where it looked mixed with red/purple. 1968 Vette all original. 1974 Ford truck getting frame off restoration. 1938 Chevy truck all hopped up and waiting for paint. Beautiful 1969 Chevy truck. 1960’s Mini all original, etc…. Was like a car museum.

It was also interesting to see how light-weight the replacement parts are now.

Talking with him while looking at those vehicles made me jealous of the knowledge and talent to do that work. Very cool.

Nate's shrinking list of animals that I won't shoot:

Birds of prey such as hawks and owls. They are, somehow, even more hateful than me

Opossum. They eat ticks

Frogs and toads. They eat mosquitoes.

Raccoons. Haven't crossed the line. Yet.

Foxes. See above

Neighbors. See above

Raccoons crossed that line in my book back in ~2008. I can't have a vegetable garden because of those turds. They will literally eat anything/everything we've ever tried to grow. I even planted scorpion peppers to fuck with them, and they ate those! I had to fully enclose an area (top too), to include our old raspberry patch, with chicken wire to keep them out. It got to be too much of a PITA, and the raspberries got stalk worms that we couldn't safely get rid of, so we gave up. It's all a flower garden now. :poop: :rolleyes:

Actually, that's called wisdom. Fixed your post for you.

Personally, I really do believe as a society we've become too tolerant of pussies and idiots, not to mention deviants and the entitled.

Also, screw skunks and ground rodents. I despise wasps/hornets. One stung my 1 year old....needless to say, the entire colony was issued a chemical death sentence.
