Random Thought Thread

ANY of you have one of those Henry AR-7's??

I really been thinking about throwing one in my ruck in case private equity buys up the rest of the private energy sector (iykyk), and was wondering if they're reliable or a gimmick.

I love the idea if stuffing like 1000 rds of 22lr in a waterproof sack like you'd take kayaking or whatever and throwing that thing in my bag with it.

Are they completely waterproof? How well do they really float. I only see tabletop reviews and dudes plinking on a range. I've never seen a guy on river whip one out or anything. I imagine it would even make a good snake dispatcher while fishing too. Their cheap too. I know he ry triggers are kinda trash but that's not why I want it either.

Looks halfway there
I have a double shoulder of 10oz laying around not doing much, so I cut the weird edges that you can't use for much off. Seems to be working. I can't decide if I should put the rough side out on this for a little better grip.

Edit: think I might use this stuff to make a taco sheath shoulder rig type deal for this Fell Beast thing Hunter is sending me. Gonna be a thicc boi.. and sweet af.

I'd put the smooth side out. It's leather so my guess is you won't have trouble fixing your boob grabbers to it

In a pinch the AR7 may be a help, but for what you get and the issues that have happened I'd just go with a Ruger 10/22 Takedown. You'd have a way more reliable and accurate tool if you truly needed it.

Finished.. A little slower than I woulda liked.. ran outta thead.. undid it, used senew instead. My lines are a little jacked , but I can't honestly see too straight. I'll critique myself harder tomorrow morning. Until then I'm gonna whack myself with it cause that's what you do when you have whackers.

Also, if your wondering why I did it in the floor. So does my back, and I'm not sure.
