I think it's a good video, I think it's good training material. The gist of it is, the average recruit has no idea what to do with a knife and this at least gives him the concept of move around and be aggressive don't just stand there and flail. A plan, even not a perfect plan, is better than no plan. This was WAY better than nothing.

The knife can be improved upon it, has some issues. That's my only role here.

Wasn't the AF dagger the improvement?
Balance, tip strength, grip rotation, edge cutting angle..... Quite literally, if we improved steels, treating, handle materials, and sheath carry, that would add tremendously to the art of dagger carry.

Indeed. My takeaway was that they weren't necessarily trained to "knife fight." Instead, their goal was to take enemies down quietly and learn some grappling techniques to keep themselves alive when something went wrong. I like how he described using the knife like a needle, basically letting the point fall into the enemy. Nothing elegant, just to the point.

Ive best heard it as Sewing Machine.......

We've had the same ice cube trays for over 20 years 🤷‍♂️
We got ours right after we got married over 28 years ago, used them a lot the first 6-7 years, and hung onto them for times like this. They’re in the freezer now…. ;)

Any gem or rock nerds here?
Sort of. My great grandfather had a pretty impressive collection, and I have some of it now. I have a few things I’ve found locally, and we have one of the best shows in the country starting here in Denver shortly. This is a really good place to be if you’re a rockhound.
