Big fun today.

Wife was in bad pain this morning after breakfast and it sure seemed like the symptoms of a kidney stone.

Several hours in the ER later, yup.

First one she ever had, so I guess that's a blessing, I hope it's not a harbinger of things to come.

Now I need to keep her on the meds schedule and find a urologist within an hour or so to do any necessary follow-up tests or procedures, (or meds).

Life sure has been interesting since Helene blew through. (And expensive.)

Glad it wasn't anything more serious! That still stings the wallet though.

I'm actually a little worried I might be developing a kidney stone....... fingers crossed it's not!

Sorry to hear that E, I hope she feels better soon and life gets less eventful soon.

I’m sorry to hear that E.

I have a pill bottle filled with them.

Had 17 Lithotripsy 2000-2018, they are no fun.

Watch out for hydyonephrosis, that’s where the stone blocks off the Ureter and back flows into the kidney causing excruciating pain and fever.

An emergency stent is needed right away if the fever goes above 101.

It can happen very quickly, so beware of this condition.

Don’t be afraid to go back to the ER if this happens, it will buy you a couple of uncomfortable months. But no damage.

I’m sorry, they say it’s worse than natural childbirth 😢🙏🏻

I think I was early teens and got a jacket for Christmas…asked my Mom to return it. “Why?” Cause the zipper isn’t YKK and is gonna go all cattywompus…

My family only buys articles with YKK zippers since then.
I’m glad I’m not the only person who cares about zipper brands. Thank you, gentlemen.

😂🤣

That’s rough. I had my first one last year. I didn’t know what it was and thought I would just walk it off. At around four in the morning, I decided I might be dying and drove my self to the ER an hour and a half away. It felt like a an eternity. They are no fun to say the least. They gave me Toradol since I drove there and was hopefully driving away. It actually worked wonders and I felt relief quite quickly. I hope that she is feeling better. And yes, before insurance it was in the teens of thousands. Sorry to hear it’s been a rough one lately. Here’s to better days ahead.

Sorry to hear about the missus. Hope it passes without issue.

Staying very well hydrated helps prevention in the future.
