Random Thought Thread

Saw that yesterday.

If I was a student in that HS, I would talk to all my friends about bringing candy bars to school in our pockets, for an opportunity to sue the company that made that crap, the PD that chose to roll in with that kind of response, the school district that approved installing that…

Two candy bars. A regular one, and one of the half-sized ones, that might just happen to sit in my pocket a certain way, and one of those candy bars would be this

Reminds me of my brother, when we were in HS.

Anyone else remember Roos shoes? They had a little Velcro pocket in the tongue, to keep whatever small items.

Brother went through a metal detector. It beeped. They had him empty his pockets and go through again. Beep. Take off your belt. Beep. Over and over. Took a while for him to recall the spare car key he kept in that little pocket (he frequently locked himself out of the car).

Glad it wasn't anything more serious! That still stings the wallet though.

I'm actually a little worried I might be developing a kidney stone....... fingers crossed it's not!
Oh you will know. I have had lots and I can definitely feel it then bam. Didn't know it the first time around but ever since I can feel that familiar pain and get meds in. Only problem with me is the only thing that works with the pain is Percocet, Vicodin, Oxy, etc. When I take those I can't do anything but stay around the house. Hate how they make me feel but they work.

We homeschool. There are a ton of sacrifices we make due to only having my one income but hopefully the kids will be smart enough to not want to chop their genitalia to bits long enough to reproduce.

Maybe even take care of me when im way too old to know better who knows? I sure won't know what the eff is going on.
We did the same. Our youngest daughter was diagnosed with ADHD and school basically made us put her on meds but we had decided to homeschool so it was just for half the year. When she was on it it really changed her bubbly personallity and made her so different. We wouldn't give her them on weekends but once off she was back to her old self. Our girls were 3rd and 6th grade and mama took them all the way through graduation. We took advantage of the local community college for stuff but there is so much more available now for when they are older. It was well worth it.

…do I smell desperation?

You know, my retort was a cheap shot, following his cheap shot. I should know better. Really, I think it’s just because I expected better. There’s no reason to stoop to that level of tragic unprofessionalism, and my reply was perhaps just as guilty.

I really did expect better, though, and perhaps that’s the reason for my own slip.
