That's one of the many things I love about where I live; there's really good Mexican food here. There's actually a wide range of good food here; Vietnamese, Indian, Argentine, french-fusion, Japanese, Seafood, Mediterranean, Peruvian, German.....heck we even have Ethiopian!

You know what we don't have? Not one single spot of good barbecue. It's all crap.

There was a guy that moved here from Texas that was big into bbq there; he says part of the problem is the elevation and lack of humidity.

I've never had texas bbq brisket. Is it really all I hear Texans and oklahomos (jk jk) raging about?

I love Indian food! Do you think your wife would be willing to share her recipe?

I looked to see If you were an American...?
You are from Utah, idk what That means....( As far as knowing about BBQ)

"I've never had texas bbq brisket. Is it really all I hear Texans and oklahomos (jk jk) raging about?"
Idk If I've had Texas Brisket??? I can't remember?
But, I've read that in Texas it's a right of passage for a boy to become a man...he has to cook Brisket over a fire. & It Only has to be edible.....

I've done it once already, so I'm good....

With fire, is the tricky part. They meant using wood or coal. Not gas. And No foil.

I used to be Huge into BBQ/smoking years ago.
I stopped for about 14-15 years. Just a couple months ago I changed, and part is my daughter is a pretty big carnivore. She wants brisket for this years 4th of July party it's her last summer here, so..... That's My personal "New Year's Resolution".

Smoking Brisket......

Yes, You Should have brisket......from a Real BBQ place..... Different states are known for Different BBQ.... I LOVE them All. :D

So, my road is about a quarter of a mile long and I usually maintenance it in late autumn because if you try to do road work in winter it's just wet and muddy and it doesn't compact properly

I was going to leave it alone this year because it was in pretty good shape but I changed my mind because it was getting a little bit washboard and the wheel ruts were getting deep enough that I figured I shouldn't press my luck

The best time to do road work is a day or two after some rain so the soil is damp but it will still drop loose in your box blade, and before a dry spell so that it can compact some before it gets rained on again

So I started yesterday. I used my scrape blade and pulled the rock from the sides into the ruts and formed my crown. I had a pretty good crown already.

Then I came through with my box blade

But, I drove it with Jo's car and it was still a little choppy. Usually I'll take a wooden pallet with some weights on it and chain it behind the tractor and drag that and it will smooth things out pretty good but it takes a few passes and it's not perfect and it's kind of a pain

So yesterday I had this great idea. I'm going to take this big 3,000 lb steel plate and drag it behind the Entwistle up and down the driveway. That should level everything out.

😞

So anyways....

Looks like I get to hook up the scrape blade again and try to salvage what's left of my road...

^ yes. When I had this great idea to drag that plate, I had been drinking a little bit...
That tracks.

Anytime I have a "great idea" I remember something my mother used to say, one of the only useful things she taught me. She'd say, "The lazy man always has the most work."

This has saved me from myself many, many times. It's not fool proof, but it has helped me quite a bit.
