I remember when I was a young man straight out of college. Actually, even while I was working as a machinist and going to college. I remember the older guys being patient with a young fella but kindly explaining to me that, I'm a smart fella but I don't really have a whole lot of experience and just give it time. Don't get too big for my britches.

(This is the sort of thing that gets you hung upside down by your ankles)

Really they were good folks and they mean the world to me. I had a lot of respect for them then and I still do today.

And now looking back on it, I used to think I was pretty smart and knew what I was doing, but looking back at it in retrospect, I was pretty smart and I really did know what I was doing. They would tell me I didn't know shit, but I really did.

I have it on good authority that you have dossier type files (kompromat?) o almost everyone who is anyone in the industry. So I beg to differ, you know lotsa sh*t ;)

PS. Are you a Niagara Falls tour guide by any chance? I come across many makers who have photos with you at the NF on their IG account and yes, you are fully cladded :D

Ah yes. I can remember being summoned by the supervisor of a squad I was assisting as a newly minted federal agent for taking it upon myself to take some actions sans direction from the supervisor or the case agent.

I did bring the bad guy in, (through some trickery for which I thought everyone would be impressed), but which actually resulted in my receiving 50 lashes.

In hindsight I see that they were right and I was wrong, but I was still the one who got the guy they were trying, (unsuccessfully, I might add), to get.

Yeah, but I thought I was hot shit. It's a little embarrassing. But if you're not full of piss and vinegar to do the job when you start out, well, why bother?
