Random Thought Thread

It’s an Outback Wilderness. We love the car, it’s been amazing. However, I have a 36 year old truck with well over double the miles that still has its original transmission. Hard to wrap my head around a relatively new car needing a new transmission so soon.

I wonder if Subaru recognizes the absurdity of it and is why they are offering to cover 50% of the replacement cost.

There might be more knowledgeable folks here that can speak to it, but I seem to recall that Subaru and Toyota did some sort of partnership a couple of years ago and that was supposed to strengthen Subaru’s transmission offerings (which have historically been prone to problems).
I put 2 transmission in the mother in laws 99 Subaru one in 04 then in 07. Every thing else was great on the car. Subaru has had transmission problems forever.

As I already said, there are many bad translations out there.

You say He did but that’s not true.. You are presenting a false assertion as fact.
I'm not merely saying it, the text proves it.

Friends, God did not lie. God cannot lie. It's actually impossible.

"You shall surely die" was a sentencing. The day Adam and Eve ate, death entered the world. That very day, they went from immortal to mortal and were thrown out of the garden.

Romans 5:12 "Therefore, just as sin entered the world through one man, and death through sin, and in this way death came to all people, because all sinned"

Adam and Eve knew some level of right and wrong, hence "made in God's image" but eating the fruit gave them a fuller understanding of evil.
Unfortunately, the text does not agree with you. God said that in the day when they eat from the tree they will die. They did not die that day, so God was lying. The idea that they were sentenced to death relies on the assumption that they were immortal to begin with, when the text never says that and that would render the tree of life pointless. Also, nothing in the text indicates they knew some level of right and wrong. They did not even understand they were naked.

Everyone makes truth claims. Even atheists. But only one man in the whole of human history has left an empty grave behind to verify His claims.

No matter what people think of Adam, Eve, religion, politics, science etc etc, we all need to wrestle with the historical evidence that on that Sunday morning 2000+ years ago, there was an empty tomb where Jesus' body once lay.
The only historical facts about Jesus agreed on by scholars are that he was baptized, that he preached about an impending end times, and that he was crucified. There is zero evidence that he had a tomb, let alone left one. Crucifixion victims were almost always buried in mass graves, not tombs.

Wow I missed a lot today lol

My thought is.... it's kind of sad the human race needs basic instructions from different ancient religions that pretty much say don't be a dick

We should all know as humans don't be a dick and everyone around you and yourself will be happier

Some of the worst people I have ever met are religious zealots. (Of different religions)

That's not true. The majority of scholars agree on the fact that Jesus died, was buried in a tomb and body went missing.
Yes you are right, most were buried in mass graves but doesnt mean they all were. A rich man named Jospeh took Jesus' body and put Him in his own tomb.

The discrepancy lies around where exactly Jesus' body went.
