Ah. Yeah, similar here, extreme lack of snow. And it’s been SO warm for the most part, several of the larger mountain lakes here haven’t (or have barely) frozen. Ice fishing season is going to be a bit delayed, much to the chagrin of my buddies and I, that normally have a boys weekend for this big ice fishing “contest” that’s supposed to happen the weekend after next. Definitely won’t be riding sleds out on the lake if we go, it just barely froze this past weekend.

At least I got my trailer deck rebuilt last weekend with the nice weather.







Used pressure treated ply, hopefully this is the one and only time I’ll have to do this.

I have met some nutty thrill-seekers who highmark on their high performance sleds, and then try to outrun the avalanche. Doesn’t always end well.

My car’s idler pulley for the drive belt was making noise, so I replaced it. Now it’s whining again

Does this ever happen to you? You actually love your car, you’re used to it, you’re attached to it… and then it does everything in its power to make you start hating it or at least get extremely pissed off.
Like these are the most unnecessarily complicated, toxic-ass relationship ever.

Even when everything’s been fine for a long time with zero issues — you still know this true nature. Deep down you understand: sooner or later, it’s gonna happen over again.

Same thing with this goddamn pulley. If I don’t replace it, knowing my car, it’ll either explode or leave me stranded on the side of the road — and of course it’ll happen during a long trip.

But if I replace it and it starts whining for the third time… I swear I’m gonna be the one blowing the car up myself.

Seriously. The most difficult relationship in my entire life is the one I have with my own car.
