Back in my mid 20’s after working late, I stopped on the way home to grab some dinner. I got a milkshake to drink at a place that puts whipped cream and cherries on top of their shakes. The girl at the drive through window was trying to be nice and asked, “Do you like whipped cream and cherries.” She was going to add extras.
Without cracking a smile I responded, “Well, what do you have in mind?”. We stared at each other for a one second eternity and then both started laughing. She became hysterical for a minute - tears running down her face and seemingly having trouble breathing.
I got her number.
