Random Thought Thread

Well Bud, last time I looked, the United States was a free country where Americans could move into any damn state they wanted to because we don’t restrict movement or close societies within these borders like those other commie countries do.
Now if you really want someone to blame for your population rising, attack your politicians and developers. They’re the ones at fault, not a bunch of random free Americans that want to leave a state on the other side of this country so they can enjoy their god given rights and freedoms to live out their days where they choose to.
Change happens. It has been happening for centuries and there isn’t a damn thing we can do about it.
Did I mention anything about restricting movement? You brought that to the conversation. My comment was based on decades of observation.

I think I use my phone so little that I never really get used to any update or design, and when it changes, I’m completely indifferent. On the computer, though, I just freeze updates and only update the things I actually need.

Which update?
The most recent one, I had to delete stuff to be able to install it so I’m not sure when it hit. All the icons look mis-aligned with white backgrounds peeking through, everything is translucent and looks stupider. I have some stupid bar above my keyboard on the screen right now. Crowded stupid looking interface. Apple is done for imo, maybe I can go back to a flip phone.

Try going to Settings/Accessibility/Display & Text Size. Turn on Reduce Transparency and Increase contrast. These settings help some.

No you didn’t and I didn’t insinuate that you did.
My response to your post is nothing more than simple, factual information that far too many people seem to forget about.
That is all.
I did however find it funny that you believe that those “locusts” leaving CA will somehow interrupt other states from enjoying their freedom, but in reality, those “locusts” are seeking more freedom, more open spaces and less taxation. Sounds pretty damn American to me.

Easy boys. Easy. I'm a halfback so I know about leaving places for greener pastures or higher mountains. NY - Fl - NC. A true halfback.

When I came here to western NC it was with the intention of fitting in, not hoping to change it into NYC or South FL

We're Americans first and foremost...at least in my opinion.

I lived in San Francisco for six months as a younger man, and to say it was great, (at the time), would be an understatement. I understand that is no longer the case...but it had everything, and the Sierras were only a few hours away.

Sorry about that.
Didn’t think it was an argument or anything, but can kind of see how it looked that way.
San Francisco does suck. I went there last week after a 25 year hiatus and is was disappointing and disgusting.

That's not what's happening in New England. For example, people fed up with MA's insane house prices and taxes are moving over the border to NH. And they're voting for everything they did when they were MA residents.

P.S. I'm a CT resident extremely salty about MA's gun laws. A Non-resident permit is only valid for 1 year. I can no longer hunt waterfowl in MA with a semi-auto.
