Stay safe. I’m sure the genny helps a lot for peace of mind, but I’m guessing those kinds of snow loads potentially mean more downed branches and trees. We had about 16" in January of 2022. I don't think we've had very much since. This'll be fun. (Not really.)
(We're also on our own in this subdivision. No county services so we have to arrange having our gravel roads scraped, graded etc. My driveway is steepish for a section so may have to have a friend with a tractor give me a hand if the accumulation at the bottom is too much for the 4Runner to plow through on the way up to the road from the garage.)
How many hours would a half tank get you?I just hope I can top off the propane for the generator. I put in a request over last weekend. I'm just under half full. (500 gallon in-ground tank.)

2+” of ice will already bring down branches and trees, taking out power lines.Yeah, I know but it came right after the the ice related post. 13" of ice is a horrifying thought.
During Helene we were without power for a week. I got by on 30 something percent. After the first couple of days I started to shut it down at night before bed...but it wasn't frigid weather yet.How many hours would a half tank get you?
Can you imagine?2+” of ice will already bring down branches and trees, taking out power lines.
At ~57lbs per cubic foot, 13” of ice would likely destroy a lot of roofs/buildings.
Hope you can get the tank topped up (because then you probably won’t end up even needing it. That’s just how things workDuring Helene we were without power for a week. You should buy a Timbersled conversion kit.I’m just looking forward to riding my dirt bike in snow finally. Bring it on!
