How do you get an accurate speed measurement when your tracks are constantly spinning and churning up the snow?
GPS for me. I carry my portable fish finder in my lap when riding the lake and looking at my waypoints on the map. ETA - The speedo isn’t super accurate. Tends to be off by 5-7mph.

I can’t be 100% sure on the speed being totally accurate on powder…but the RPM reading would have me around 75-80mph on hard pack when the speedo reads 55mph on powder.
Yeah, hard to be completely sure with the constantly variable clutch.

Listen to @ferider the beers I normally drink are much higher in ABV and I do not believe they freeze as fast
You should make a chart for beer's freezing time vs. ABV. In this style. There is no one on this forum with more knowledge.

Phones will also give a GPS clocked speed
True. At some point, I need to attach a GOOD, strong phone holder to the dash just behind the windscreen. Now that I have a lot of my waypoints in OnX, I could use that instead of my fish finder. Would be a lot easier than the fish finder in my lap lol.

In deep powder I can hit a track speed of 90 mph but I’m moving more like 15-20 mph 🤣🤘🏻
Braaaaaaap!!! lol

I regret nothing. It's just a folder and the task at hand needed some prying.
It should last another 2 weeks until the CPK folder comes out.View attachment 3088865
Time for a regrind!

If a folding knife doesn’t have the same kind of spine strength as a pry bar, it obviously won’t be suitable for prying.
Well, a folding knife in general is hardly suitable for that kind of thing anyway 🤔

And if it does manage to handle the tasks of a pry bar, then it’s unlikely to cut decently well at the same time.
Of course, unless you want to carry a dumbbell in your pocket.
