When you look a bear in the eyes, you can at least see something alive in there — some kind of emotion.I mean, personally, I feel way more kinship with a bear than with a crocodile.

But a crocodile’s eyes… there’s nothing in them except this cold, predatory stare that’s just thinking about how to eat you alive…!

My wife used to get the heebee-jeebies when I used to take her out in an inflatable kayak surrounded by alligators in the Everglades. Until she saw me walk up to one at which point she started paying more attention to the insurance policy. I used to do some not recommended things on a fairly regular basis.

Been stepped on / pawed by a bear in Yosemite too...back in 1975. (That I didn't cause of my own volition. The food was hung up before sundown.)

I rewatched Congo some time ago, but as an adult.... and found the "contrived coincidences" trope quite cringeworthy.

Forget it, crocodiles aren’t actually that bad…
The croc might take your arm, or your life. The other one’s more likely to take half your sh## while destroying your life 😅

PS
In Florida, it’s more likely to be an alligator, than a crocodile. While there ARE crocs in FL, gators are more common.

How do you tell the difference?
One sees you later. The other sees you after a while 😜
