I just replaced our old set of Corelle (which had painted embellishments) which was from right around the time they switched over from their product line with lead to unleaded (or mostly anyway).

We still have the set for emergency use, but we got a nice new set without the paint trim, and an updated style.

Now the only item left with any paint is the tea kettle, and it doesn't have any paint in the areas in contact with the water. Gotta have my cuppa twice a day. It has replaced coffee for both of us, and we were lifelong coffee drinkers.

But yeah, the decay of uranium jnto lead is kind of crazy. I'm wanting to say it converts into lead and then back into a different uranium and then back into some other stuff. I used to know the cycle. I bet Richard 338 does.

But, a large amount of the lead in our crust was originally uranium. Not all of it though. But this is why my basement is ventilated
