But

The uranium that is in the soil in North Carolina decays and one of the byproducts is radon gas. A radioactive gas that emits alpha particles.

During a nuclear event there is high energy radiation that ionizes things and damages cells and DNA. All of that is bad. It's also very brief and, if you are sheltered, you're fine. The real danger is alpha radiation, because if you ingest radioactive fallout and incorporate it into your body, it can eventually kill you, through a number of unpleasant mechanisms

I am fairly confident you already know these things
Oh, if it was about buying it cheaper, selling it higher, and meanwhile legally transporting dangerous uranium across Europe — yeah, that I do know.
But something like this, no jokes — nah, I’ve got nothing.
Still, you know, I really like how you balance between all this knowledge and these kinds of things
Forward curving, about 6" long, and four of them, one for each finger. I'd attach them to an articulating leather and metal glove so they could be used individually and allow normal finger motion and slashing.

🙄

But, a large amount of the lead in our crust was originally uranium. Not all of it though. But this is why my basement is ventilated
Good ole Radon gas. 😖 We have lots here on the front range of CO.

I got a feeling this is going to be the best and maybe last weekend here. Temps are cooler throughout March though so we may get lucky.
One of our warmest and driest winters on record here. :poop: Not good for what's possible to come this summer. 😬

^ I think he might be yanking our chain a little bit

But yeah, the decay of uranium jnto lead is kind of crazy. I'm wanting to say it converts into lead and then back into a different uranium and then back into some other stuff. I used to know the cycle. I bet Richard 338 does.
I don't really do nuclear chemistry, but it's easy to find a convenient chart

It's also important to understand the difference between high energy radiation and alpha particle emitters

That uranium glass is harmless

But you would not want to ingest a speck of it

Funny you should mention that... place I worked at in the late 80's actually distributed a memo that said not to ingest (depleted) uranium...

I might have a problem. 🤔 Between my desk drawers, my briefcase, and my pockets, these are the blades I have with me today. I decided not to go out to the truck... 😬 🤣
