Ouch. I don’t think serrated handle scales are a good idea. View attachment 3120157
Answer to the age old question;

“Why is it called a pinkie?”

“Because it’s been rubbed raw”

*** as unwise as this feature may be, it still can’t top that knife that had the perforations across the blade to make the blade snap with any force applied 😅

Last time we were on his land repositioning some trail cams I asked if I could take a pic of his hdfk he had on his belt... He laughed at me and said why. 😐I told him I wanted to share it with some dudes on the Internet he then proceeded to laugh even harder. 😮‍💨
He probably was confused because you asked him to pose like George Costanza.

Oh, a serrator on the handle?
Yeah, I love this ergonomic feature.

I genuinely wish the guy who came up with the brilliant idea to put that thing there
would spend five hours carving or cutting some really tough material,
and every 20 minutes someone would pour hot fresh Tabasco sauce straight onto his blisters.

Ok. Now I think I recognize the model. Don't think I ever noticed the strategic jimping though.

You know why sometimes the world has completely disgusting, useless things?

Because out of thousands, millions, billions of people, there will always be at least one person who starts defending that

Even if it’s the dumbest and most disgusting thing imaginable

Yes (from the pics, I didn't get one). They all seem to have them. Not sharp (no "serrations"), and jimping there is not uncommon.

Yeah, i remember those on my old Manix (which I sold off long ago) and they weren't a problem. I think several Hinderer and Strider knives had similar features. As with anything, I imagine it all depends on the execution.

I don’t think Bill Harsey designs his knives for carving, unless it’s for carvin’ up fools. Choose the right tool for the job. 😉

Well yeah, you're right, my conscious self gets it now.

I’ll be pouring Tabasco sauce on the calluses on my hands for this one.

I really think I overreacted
