A shaped charge with powdered tungsten liner might have been a better choice, but you got the job done.

Sir, you have to justify……NOTHING!!!I did check outside first and ensure a safe backstop, no people, etc
But then I did shoot a round through a wall because my drill wasn't working
Standard
Ballistics testing has shown them to be effectively equivalent, and the standard loading allows faster follow-up shots for the lead hose, and less hearing damage.
I'm not a recoil sensitive, but lighter recoil is legit tactical advantage. Particularly on a micro nine.
Sorry to hearOff topic and definitely random on this day of all days...
...but I lost my mom today. She had a good long life to 93. She raised me to be better than I turned out.
I'd appreciate a good thought or silent prayer from anyone so inclined.
Thank you.
Probably a stupid question, but did you consider unscrewing the four philips screws and removing the fixture? That would have left a nice big hole…View attachment 3132955
It was a tricky spot and I was really struggling
The gun is just there, you know? It exists to make holes!

I carry the HST 147 gr standard in all of my Glocks. I do have some 124 as well, both HST and Gold Dot.
I would be happy with either...so no need to go down the rabbit hole. If all you ever had were those from Speer and Federal, you'd be fine. Both well proven rounds.I might have to look into HST, here I go down another rabbit hole today.![]()
Gold Dot is all I carry in anything if it’s not practice shooting.
Very good point. Gold Dot has always ran great through my CCW. I’ve never switched. Diesel is 6.49 here today by the way.Speer Gold Dot and Federal HST have demonstrated functional equivalency and are both widely adopted by state and federal agencies.
The mistake that people make is practicing with less expensive ammo and saving their carry ammo for just carry
You don't know for a fact it will run in your gun reliably unless you have run hundreds of rounds through it
I don't know about Speer, but Federal has an equivalent range ammo for practice for their hst. But, you only run that after you have already run hundreds of HST through your pistol to know that it works.
If Gold Dot works in your pistol, I would not switch over to HST.
Yeah I always stuck with Speer gold dots .40 165 gr hp they run flawless. I got not reason to switch now.I would be happy with either...so no need to go down the rabbit hole. If all you ever had were those from Speer and Federal, you'd be fine. Both well proven rounds.
