I'm sure there are folks who would destroy me at tetris....

It's painful to watch him at this point in his career. He's a rookie. I get it.

But I mean come on.
I'd fight someone in Mortal Kombat or Tekken.

But honestly, I'm pretty bad at games right now — I barely have any time.

When I was a kid, I used to sell game accounts and in-game items. (I got banned a lot for that)

It was fun.

Checked my history on the platform where I used to sell all that stuff, lol — over 300 accounts 😅

From today on, I will never drink alcohol again in my life.Never in my life.

Don't say that bro

You'll be okay

Alcohol and substance abuse kills you slowly. Over a long duration of time. It's insidious. You need to give it a chance to work. You're still young. Don't give up.

To be fair, I drink extremely rarely.
It happens in winter, and it's fun to do, but I set myself a condition like I have to do a lot of physical work or something like that.
This winter I was basically a snow-clearing machine, and beer was fun.
Otherwise, I only drink on holidays, and extremely responsibly.
And it’s not like 11 Guinnesses were too much for me, but I also started drinking Jägermeister on top of that.
But, by the way, I feel pretty good. I even worked.
Now I’m going to become very responsible and smart.
And reasonable.

And yes, they’ll return my sneakers to me, lol.

Milspec accuracy standards with the issued ammo.

M4 accuracy standards are 4 MOA with M855/M855A1 😅

That's actually a little less accurate than a good 50s vintage Soviet SKS. (Which is more powerful, durable and reliable)

We managed some pretty good groups with those back then.

Everybody should have an SKS. Wildly underrated piece of kit.

I remember buying them, as a kid, for less than a Benjamin

FOR A GOOD FUNCTIONING SEMI-AUTOMATIC RIFLE, that's crazy!

I still have some!

Get the SKS not the AK. IMO. They're a little quieter, a little more powerful and more accurate too. Also a better trigger (on some of them). You can't easily mount optics on one (similar klusterfuk as the M1A) but there are ways to do it if that's important to you.

And a crate of a thousand rounds

Which was actually something like 960 rounds or something? I don't know, is that like 1,000 rounds metric? Idunno.

Anyways you could buy a heavy case of ammo for 89 bucks at the Dixie gun and knife classic in Raleigh back in the 90s. To a young college student in Raleigh in the mid 90s, this was like blade show, but with guns. It was so awesome. My buddy Dale and I used to shoot down trees and stuff, as kids.

You could also get a Benchmade knife for around a hundred bucks, no joke.

That place was so awesome

They had 12.7 by 99 NATO (50 BMG) for 12 for $10. I almost bought some just for the novelty factor.

What a glorious time to be alive

You could get a real Dragunov for less than a grand.

But I was 19, I didn't have a grand.

But I had 39 bucks and you could get a mosin nagant for that. Ammo was less than .10 cents a pop. I'm wanting to say it was around 5 cents a pop in some places. Idunno

What a glorious time to be alive

What an unfortunate time to not quite have enough money to actually participate in much of this glorious era

I was making and delivering pizzas in that time frame

Jo was in the passenger seat helping me navigate because I always got lost

No complaints though. The 90s were awesome. You kids that missed out on the '90s. I'm sorry, I really am. It was so cool.

Did you know that music sucks today? I think it has something to do with autotune.

Go buy an SKS rifle

Unless it's $1,000

And then, never mind.

Wait, what was talking about?

To the lawyers here, or anyone else that may know, is there a reason that legal documents are written with outdated, overly complicated language. It seems crazy that a simple contract or statement ends up sounding like lines from Game of Thrones.
Well, how are they supposed to justify the exorbitant rates if clients keep going, “Really? I coulda written that muh damned self!”? 😅

I ❤️ SKS too , they were around 125 here in the late 90s

My vote for a 5.56 based gas sniper rifle would have to be the MK12

Well, ackshually that would be an SPR (Special Purpose Rifle. Generally in NATO 5.56).

The US military has (had) various platforms for semi auto sniper rifles (SASS Semi Auto Sniper System, or DMR Designated Marksman Rifle), always in larger calibers (.308/7.62x51, and 6.5 Creedmoor more recently).

From the M21 to the KAC MK110 SASS, the FN Mk20 SSR, and the latest Sig MCX-SPEAR.

BTDT. J&G Sales in Prescott, AZ when I was in college late 90's. Mine is Czech iirc. (actually, Yugo I think, the more I think about it) A friend back then had an original Russian one from his grandpa/dad, and sold it off cheap to someone else, without asking me first! I was SO pissed!! 🤬

Then, when I moved to Ft. Worth for a stint in '01 after school, I was ~5 minutes from THE Cheaper Than Dirt retail store. lol those were the days!!! 😩

I ❤️ SKS too , they were around 125 here in the late 90s
I'm pretty sure that's what I paid for mine, too. But I lost it in the boat accident a few years ago. :(
