It's kind of sad really

I just came to the realization today, while my mind was trying to escape my skull because I'm sharpening

I don't actually like David Bowie's music very much

I always thought I liked his music

But I don't think I do

David Bowie is like 4 different musicians, depending on which phase you pick.

From Ziggy Startdust to about Diamond Dogs, I think he was incredible. Then he did way too much coke with Brian Eno and became sad 80s-rock, and didn't recover for quite a while.

I like both Bowie and Paul Simon.

Parenthetically, I never met either Simon or Garfunkle though they lived in the area. My high school girlfriend lived a couple houses over from Garfunkle, and Paul's brother Eddie used to play pickup basketball games with us from time to time. (They looked very much alike.)

I burned my right hand with hot oil recently (like an idiot). It's healing up really well.

However, my toddler daughter insists on calling my right hand the "Yucky hand". She makes absolutely sure not to use that hand everytime she asks me to pick her up.

Earlier today she decided to call my uninjured hand "the right hand".

So my right hand is the yucky hand, my left hand is the right hand. This kid cracks me up.

You're not the only one. I've given his stuff an honest try but only like a handful of songs. Just not my deal.

Simon and Garfunkle are awesome, though.

Art Pepper was great. (Bosch's favorite jazz artist...ironically spent a lot of time in prison.)

One of the greats of West Coast jazz. I have a ton of his recordings, though I'm more of a hard bop fan.

Although named for Ozzy Osbourne, Ozzy has a distinct preference for West Coast jazz.

Lot of great West Coast artists.

That’s funny.

In middle school, we got a GSD pup. Mistakenly named him Ninja, because we didn’t know that the eye markings only show up when they get a little older

Although my dad insisted that dogs stayed outside, my brother snuck him in all the time, and he often slept in my brother’s room.

We both noticed that he really liked jazz, and would lay down in front of the stereo anytime my brother put a jazz album on.
