This needs to be a real product. The sand down here eats blade edges almost as fast as your rocks do. Also, your Mom is correct.

I do think it would be cool if it were a real product. But you'll get some knucklehead that puts it on a tractor and then takes it into the woods and uses it as a bush hog.

I wish there were a way to braze it to the blade rather than fill it with eleventy twelve holes, but that would be incompatible with the temper.

Thinking about it, the blades are quarter inch steel, but the inserts are only .177"

I wonder if it would be worth doing this experiment over again with full thickness steel?
