Beautiful shot! They start feeding more this time of year in preparation for their migration. They’ve been draining my feeders here, and gotten a lot more territorial about them!

Animals really sense the changes in seasons. A stellar jay kept bugging me for more almonds yesterday while I was working in the yard. Must have taken well over a hundred to stash.

They're chalky and have only the essence of flavor. A really gross version of Smarties. But I didn't mind getting them at Halloween.
