Random Thought Thread

Yeah, but come on man, seriously-seriously.
Doesn’t this look like a wannabe EDC with a big choil and weird handle?

The thumb ramp was what really caught my eye.

Just like 1000s of other knives. The thumb ramp has been in use before any of us were born.

I took another look at the knife in post # 10846. I think they just put fixed blade in folder scales.

What do you think of the handle on this one? It looks similar to the EDC doesn't it? Who copied who or did the designers come up with the same idea independently?

I guarantee you I did NOT copy that knife. Blech!

I never said that you did. Just for arguments sake I was trying to point out that there is nothing new in blade and handle designs. I see people post angry comments about someone copying someone else's
design. I would bet that in many cases they don't even know that the other exists.

Not the blade, the handle.

I give up. Trying to make a point here is like talking to my wife.

hey man, I never said that you said I did
I get your point, but your point is kind of a why's the sky blue kind of point
we all borrow from one another, if we didn't we'd still be in caves trying to figure out how to use tools

That's one point that I was trying to make. The other is that two or more people can come up with the same idea independently.

I remember reading an article by a hand surgeon years ago. He designed a knife handle similar to yours. Take look at Ken Onion designed Shun knives.

Starbucks nitro cold brew is so strong. It feels like being on drugs. Recommended!

Even their regular coffee is brewed super strong. It probably so it will still have some coffee flavor when the put all the foo-foo crap in it. I don't remember
who it was, but they described Starbucks coffee drinks as liquid candy bars.

I think that is true of most of their offerings. This nitro cold brew is just coffee though, with Guinness-style nitrogen bubbles, drinking it makes me do a whole "Requiem for a dream" pupil dilating cut scene thing.

It's about maximizing efficiency for busy lifestyles. :p

1 Starbucks + 1 slice of Cheesecake Factory's Red Velvet Cheesecake is small, quick and easy to consume, and contains enough calories for the whole day for a large, physically active adult.
