You can use a large Spec Ops sheath, I dunno if it would mar the acid wash but it’s easy enough to get online without having to send out your shiv.
 
^ I was just going to write this info too! Bob, for now get the 8" or the large spec op from Amazon or so... That is what Nathan used to provide them with before David Brown of Buy Brown started making kydex ones for Nathan & Jo. The BB sheaths were a bit of a touch and go though. It fitted some Shivs without any issues and it just jammed some up. My Shiv came from Blade 2017 and I just couldn't get the sucker outta there which I sent to Jo and after the poor NinJo went back and forth for me, she ended up crediting me toward another purchase. That sheath apparently was jamming up Nathan's own Shiv too when he was testing it, so...

I have been very happy with the spec op on when I don't use my custom made leather made by Grog. That acid wash finish is the most forgiving when it comes to kydex markings anyway.

ETA: my Shiv had these handle scales with deeper scallops so maybe that was the issue. I don't want to insinuate that it was sent like that or sold like that on purpose. I think that the Shiv was paired with a sheath after Brian had picked it up for me, inserted and never taken out till I received it. Just one of those things, so don'r wanna give the wrong impression on Nathan / Jo or even David's work.

Thanks, I really appreciate the info. If I were going to give the shiv to my son, that sheath would be perfect for attachment to his IOTV. But he's currently stuck in Kuwait on his current Army deployment there. But he does have the UF that I gave him before he deployed, so he's good for now. But I'm not looking for a "tactical" style sheath. I discovered that the sheath for my old Ontario Bagwell "The Gambler" bowie almost works, but it's over an inch longer than the shiv. I guess I'll just need to get a leather sheath made for it.

Indian Jones is a real piece of shit. I never picked up on a lot of this. Like this chick Marion says “I was dumb, I was a kid, I was in love, you ruined my life.” He banged his mentor’s underage daughter, then comes back and takes the head of the staff of ra from her, exposes her to risk of death by Nazis. Then apparently he dumps her again by the time of the events of Temple of doom. He gets his boy Wu Han killed. He has this nice viet cong boy who idolizes him and helps him throughout this entire adventure and then in the end, just leaves the kid in India or China whatever on the street I guess. He runs off with the blonde bimbo. What a piece of garbage Indian Jones is.

Not to mention, he had zero to negative effect on keeping the ark from the Nazis...they still got the ark then opened it and melted. If he had stayed at home they would have maybe gotten the ark...then opened it and melted :mad: Still love the movies though (except the 4th);)
