Office spring cleaning day outta boredom. My frakking cat had annexed my office, so time to reestablish my authoritah... Some CPK loose handle scales laying around quite nonchalantly too :)

You can use a large Spec Ops sheath, I dunno if it would mar the acid wash but it’s easy enough to get online without having to send out your shiv.

^ I was just going to write this info too! Bob, for now get the 8" or the large spec op from Amazon or so... That is what Nathan used to provide them with before David Brown of Buy Brown started making kydex ones for Nathan & Jo. The BB sheaths were a bit of a touch and go though. It fitted some Shivs without any issues and it just jammed some up. My Shiv came from Blade 2017 and I just couldn't get the sucker outta there which I sent to Jo and after the poor NinJo went back and forth for me, she ended up crediting me toward another purchase. That sheath apparently was jamming up Nathan's own Shiv too when he was testing it, so...

I have been very happy with the spec op on when I don't use my custom made leather made by Grog. That acid wash finish is the most forgiving when it comes to kydex markings anyway.

Well, since the only offers I got were for the Buy Brown kydex sheaths, I took your advice and ordered the Spec Ops sheath for it, black of course. It's probably the most appropriate sheath for this implement of penetration, anyway.

I still can't get believe my luck on the shiv - I've never placed anywhere near to #1 on a Friday sale before...

I've laid low for a while, and didn't even try last Friday, but I might have to try for a Potato Knife tomorrw.

No, I'll try tomorrow if I can, but if I happen to be lucky enough to place that high again, I'll let Casinostocks Casinostocks have it for being so nice and passing that last satin UF down to me.

Sorry! Wasn’t trying to be rude. Nathan and I are NC State alumni. I would be proud to share that honor with MJ.

P.S. Philip Rivers who QB'd for our former NFL team, the San Diego Chargers, was from NC State Uni. I often mistake these two prodigal sons of NC collegiate fame.

Regarding Rivers, I believe that he would've won a Ring had he landed on several other teams back in the 2004 NFL draft but unfortunately for him, he ended up with the loser Spanos Family owner NFL franchise and the rest is, well the rest!

BTW, I don't want to insinuate that MJ & Rivers are even on the same sport planet in terms of achievements but Rivers just could've done a lot better if drafted elsewhere.

^A corollary to Casinostocks Casinostocks Rivers theory is that many knife buyers (myself included) could have done a lot better sooner if we had been recruited to the University of CPK much earlier in our knife accumulating careers. Just saying...:)

Phil

To carry on with the NFL Draft corollary which is still going on (I think) I walked in as an undrafted free agent in 2016. Coach Nathan took one look at me and exclaimed, "get this ol' phat phuck outta my field!" but Jo the GM was kind to give me a chance; a position in the proverbial kitchen as a sous-chef, er, maid! Back then, I had to pay them to get accepted so even though there were some very nice and prime and untapped CPKs being literally "stolen" by those in-the-know in the back-channel world, I was just too dumb and too broke to partake.

This is my excuse and that is what I'm gonna stick with ;)
